Jim introduces the Ability to Pay Act, 2012

(September 17, 2012) For the last nine years, the government has ignored the calls of local officials to change Ontario's broken arbitration system. The government knows full well some councils have been forced to increase property taxes, impose user fees or cut services to pay for these contracts – at the taxpayers’ expense. The Ability to Pay Act, that Jim introduced last week, seeks to correct that.
