(December 8, 2017) – MPP Jim Wilson visited with students at Nottawasaga Pines Secondary School in Angus on December 8.

Wilson was a guest of the school’s leadership class and answered questions from students about his role as MPP for Simcoe-Grey. A total of 36 Grade 10, 11 and 12 students took turns asking questions about issues, the role an MPP plays in the government and leadership in general.

“I want to thank teacher Stephanie Cryer for inviting me to speak to the class,” said Wilson. “The students asked a number of thoughtful and well-researched questions about a number of important topics. It was an enjoyable morning and the students were very impressive.”

Wilson encouraged students to get involved with their student government in high school and when they move on to university and college. He said his interest in government began in Grade 9 when he joined student council and when his history class conducted a model parliament.
