PC MPPs Prepared to Disrupt Legislature to Stop HST PDF Print E-mail

PC Leader Tim HudakJim Wilson Fights for HST Hearings in Question Period

(November 19, 2009) Simcoe-Grey MPP Jim Wilson kept up the fight against the HST in Question Period today.  Wilson demanded that the Minister of Finance hold public hearings into the $3 billion McGuinty sales tax grab.

“How many more people have to get thrown out of this House so that you’ll come to your senses and listen to the people of Ontario,” asked Wilson.  “You should be ashamed. After all your years as a parliamentarian and as an assistant before that, you should have respect for the people of Ontario.  They want answers to many questions regarding the implementation of the HST.”

The Official Opposition Caucus is now engaged in aggressive disruption tactics in the Legislature to prevent the McGuinty Liberals from abusing the Parliamentary Process.  Ontario PC MPPs are prepared to risk ejection from the Legislature in order to ensure the rights of taxpayers are protected.


“Why will you not allow the people of Ontario to be heard on this very important tax measure, the most important change in your lifetime and in my lifetime that has ever taken place in the history of this province,” Wilson charged in debate with the Finance Minister.
